This guided visit will take us through both statuary and painting masterpieces completed during the time of the Renaissance when Florence began ahead of everyone else a cultural, spiritual, and intellectual renewal across all the arts and the city became known as the ‘new Athens’, transforming it into a cultural, economic, political center of excellence in the western world.
We will visit the Accademia Gallery, home to Michelangelo’s masterpieces, including the famous David, offering insight into Renaissance sculpture in the Florence that became known as the “New Athens.”
Inside the Uffizi Gallery, we will be walking through the masterpieces of Gentile da Fabriano, Masaccio, Filippo Lippi, and Botticelli, till the peak of this glorious age found in the city of Florence the 3 masters Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael.
