I open the doors of my home in Mexico City to offer an authentic appreciation and a unique profesional tasting of the best top-shelf craft tequila and Mezcal using specially designed crystalware. Mostly of them are hard to find even in Mexico, more so outside the country.
It's not open bar, but the servings are quite generous.
We'll sit down and talk about how Mezcal and Tequila is made, I'll be happy to answer any doubt or question you may have.
At the end of tasting, we’ll prepare a killer cocktail prepared on the spot with the freshest local ingredients.

Meeting and pickup
The tasting room is located between the streets of Heroes and Zarco; there is a tree in front of the entrance. On the right, there is a chicken shop called Polleria Tere. The facade simulates a butcher shop.
What to expect
We open our private educational tasting room space (and cellar) to share some of our favorite curated selection of craft tequilas and mezcals from small independent producers. During our 2.5 hours tasting, you’ll learn all about what sets tequila and mezcal apart and explore different regions. A typical Mexican dinner will be served as well as refreshments and suggested pairings.
The tasting will take place in our own tasting room which only opens on demand - El Tapatio Educational Tasting Room (it's not a bar nor a commercial venue)..
Our goal is to introduce guests to Mexico’s spirits in an intimate and relaxed space and share my culture with new people. Some of our best travel experiences involved a shared bottle with strangers and this is exactly the kind of unpretentious vibe we want to offer.
The tasting includes only 100% additive-free spirits and features our personal favorites. You will taste 6 different tequilas as well as 5 mezcals (rotating selection based on availability/new findings). All spirits are sourced from family-owned brands who maintain sustainable practices.
