If you’re looking for a one-day excursion from Ho Chi Minh city, a trip to Cai Be is an excellent option. Cai Be is a charming town situated in the Mekong Delta region, renowned for its lust fruit orchards and verdant rice paddies. This tour will take you on a journey through the heart of Cai Be where you can engage in various activities such as kayaking, boat riding, biking and attending a cooking class.

What to expect

At 7:45AM, depart from HCM City, the journey takes approximately 2,5 hours ride. Around 10:00AM, take some time to explore the town on foot and then board a motorized boat to cruise along the Mekong river to admire the serene, continue going on a small sampan boat to paddle along the small canals to see the local going about their day. The boat takes you to the region’s fruit orchards where you can try some fresh fruits, enjoy the local music performed by the villagers.

At noon, attend a cooking class to prepare some traditional dishes. Lunch will be served after that. After lunch, take a rest, relax and then it’s time to hit the water by using kayaks for a leisurely paddle down the river.

Alternatively, you can take the bicycle to bike to explore the countryside on two wheels to get up close and personal with the area’s rural way of life. Around 3:00PM, travel back to HCM. Arrive approximately at 5:00PM.
