This 4-day, 3-night journey offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the genuine nomadic life of Morocco. We’ve designed this tour for travelers who want to delve deeper into the Berber way of life, spending nights with nomadic families who have lived in tents and caves for centuries, surrounded by their animals and thriving in the simplicity of nature.
From staying in authentic desert tents under the stars to sleeping in cave dwellings, all while experiencing the warmth of nomadic hospitality, this trip goes beyond typical sightseeing. You’ll learn about the resourceful ways of the indigenous Amazigh (Berber) people and experience how they live sustainably off the land and care for their animals.
The tour is filled with adventure, from camel treks over the dunes of Erg Chebbi to scenic hikes through the dramatic landscapes of the Dades and Toudra Gorges.

After a scenic 3-hour drive from Marrakech, passing through natural landscapes, Berber villages, and majestic mountains, we’ll arrive at Ksar Ait Benhaddou around 1:00 PM. Known as the 'Gladiator Town,' this UNESCO World Heritage site is famous for its impressive earthen architecture and its role as a backdrop for movies like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. Enjoy a 1-hour guided walk through this historic ksar, exploring its ancient streets and panoramic views, followed by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

4Ouarzazate
After lunch, we’ll drive just 30 minutes to Ouarzazate, known as the 'Hollywood of Morocco.' Here, we’ll take a break at a shopping mall where you can pick up beverages or alcohol for a memorable desert night ahead, if desired

Following our stop in Ouarzazate, we’ll continue with a 1.5-hour drive along the famous 'Route of a Thousand Kasbahs' through Skoura’s lush oasis, reaching the enchanting Rose Valley for an overnight stay surrounded by breathtaking scenery

6Dades Gorges
The following morning, after breakfast, we’ll journey through the spectacular Dades Gorge, renowned for its dramatic rock formations, deep red cliffs, and winding roads. This stunning landscape, carved by the Dades River over centuries, offers breathtaking views of rugged canyons and unique geological formations, including the famous 'Monkey Fingers' rock formations. It's a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike, with endless opportunities to capture the beauty of Morocco’s diverse terrain

7Todra River
From Dades Gorge, your drive to Toudra Gorge reveals stunning landscapes with red rock formations, ancient kasbahs, and green oases. Here, we’ll stop for photos in traditional Berber attire and shop for scarves perfect for the desert experience. 9Merzouga
Two hours before sunset, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, where the vast Sahara Desert and the stunning sand dunes of Erg Chebbi await. Your camels will be ready to take you on a memorable trek, leading you to an authentic overnight stay with indigenous nomad families in traditional nomadic tents—different from the luxurious camps. This unique experience lets you fully embrace the true beauty of the Sahara and the warmth of nomadic hospitality. We’ll arrive in Boumalne Dades around noon, where we’ll have lunch before setting out on a unique 3-hour hike to the iconic Monkey Fingers rock formations, led by a knowledgeable local guide.
