The Kongo River tour is a tranquil sunset experience on a canoe. Drive to the river’s estuary where it flows into the Indian Ocean and glide upriver toward Ukunda. With no engines to disturb the peace, your captain rows quietly through serene mangroves as you spot diverse bird species and listen to local stories. As the sun sets, the sky transforms into golden and orange hues, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for photos or quiet reflection. The experience ends with a gentle paddle back toward the river mouth before returning to your hotel. The whole tour lasts for about two hours including the transfers.

Pick up from your hotel in Diani Beach and transfers you to the Kongo area. Meet your guide, view the historic 16th century Kongo Mosque and learn its Swahili heritage Walk to the estuary and board a canoe. Glide through serene mangroves while watching different species of birds. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views over the estuaryas the sky turns golden and orange. Return back to the Kongo beach on a beautiful setup as you enjoy the beach view refreshing yourself with cold drinks and snacks. Return to your hotel in Diani
