Fishermen's Bastion was built between 1895 and 1902 to celebrate the 1000th year of the Hungarians's settling in the Carpathian basin. It features 7 towers, each of these represents one of the seven Hungarian chieftains who led their peoples to present-day Hungary to settle around 895. The tower windows provide the best panoramic views of Budapest.
