Sheikh Zyed Grand Mosque. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a prominent religious landmark located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Construction of the mosque began in 1996 and was completed in 2007. It was designed by Syrian architect Yousef Abdelky and features a fusion of Islamic architectural styles from different regions, including Persian, Mughal, and Moorish. The mosque's exterior is made of white marble and features intricate floral designs and geometric patterns.
