We'll meet at our workshop, where you can check out the finished products and all the materials you'll be working with. Our artisans will help you throughout the experience, handing you materials, offering explanations, and giving you the tools you need.
The real highlight? It's getting hands-on, creating something uniquely your own. Whether you're with family, friends, or a couple, it's the perfect opportunity to bond, share stories, savor some delicious snacks and champagne, and immerse yourself in this rich tradition.
And when it's all done, you'll head home with your very own masterpiece and unique memories to share.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We’ll meet on the day of your booking directly at our workshop in Calle Duarte 37, located on the corner of Umbrella Street in Puerto Plata. Look for our beautiful pink shop covered in flowers, you can’t miss it!
What to expect
Explore the history of the traditional Raffia bags, craft your own and take it home as the most amazing souvenir. Perfect for any age.
We will meet at our workshop filled with materials, tools and finished products. Where you will become an insider on the whole process of crafting a fashion bag and find out the secrets of this tradition.
Together with master artisans you will craft your own Raffia bag. Handpicking out of thousands of different combinations, you will chose the size of the bag, colors, words and the handles. You can even stitch your name on it!
At the end, when trying on your creation, you will feel like a true artisan. And will get a wearable memory of Puerto Plata (hardly available to visitors) and a really cool story to tell.
