Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) is the art of writing beautiful characters on paper using a brush and ink. In addition to writing beautiful characters, it is also possible to express yourself through the image of the kanji.

Master Shoran is an experienced Shodoka (Japanese Calligrapher) with experience teaching thousands of students from around the world. As a English-speaking Shodoka, Shoran will guide you through the process to write your name in Kanji with the Shodo brush. Take home a unique souvenir with your name written in Kanji on a Japanese scroll.

①Create your own Kakejiku
In just a short time, learn to write your name and make your own Kakejiku (hanging scroll) to take home as a souvenir. Enjoy the Japanese aesthetic at home and remember your experience forever.

②Learn to write your name in Japanese
Learn how to create your own name using Kanji characters that match your personality. Kanji have different meanings, so your scroll will be one of a kind.

③Learn from a Master Shodoka
Shoran is a Master Shodoka with experience living and working in the United States. She will provide a exceptional learning environment with her polished Omotenashi spirit.
