Sowcarpet street food is a food walking tour in Chennai to stimulate your taste buds. Street Food Tour is a great way to experience Chennai through its delectable street food. It's a multi-sensorial experience over 2 hours as we taste the signature dishes from legendary food stalls as we walk through frenetic streets, narrow alleys brimming with food stalls and colorful shops.

    We move to Anmol Lassi centre, a place run by an ex professional wrestler, Dinesh Soni. He has been quenching the thirst of visitors to Sowcarpet for the last 30 years. The signature offering is Kesar lassi which is a sweet and creamy drink made with non-sour curd. I Saffron and sugar top up the ingredients. Served chilled in large glasses, the lassi also get a few drops of dried cream.

    The food walk ends at the most famous chat shop of Sowcarpet called Kakada Ramprasad. Six decades since the classic Kakada jalebi was first fried in the quaint corners of Mint Street, the legacy of Kakada Ramprasad has come a long way. We will savor Aloo Tikki which is a magic of the blend of mashed potatoes and the traditional Indian spices. This will be followed by Jalebi, the dessert for all seasons.
