    Pick up at 8AM for a 7 hour drive to Gir. As you enter Saurashtra at dawn, Ahmedabad gradually fades from your rearview mirror. The highway meanders past grazing buffalo, cotton farms, and roadside dhabas that serve hot fafda-jalebi. The scenery becomes more untamed as you approach Gir; there are dusty grasslands, prickly acacia groves, and the occasional peacock dancing by the side of the road. Arrive by 3PM

    We will do 2 safari today. Morning Safari The wilderness awaits once more before daybreak. You embark on your first safari, bundled up in a shawl to protect yourself from the morning chill. Sunrise in the forest is an other world, with the light turning everything to silver, birds singing, and mist clinging to the grass. With each twist in the trail, the excitement increases. Then you see them, a lioness and her cubs, playing and keeping guard in the clearing. Gir is at its most enchanted here, where life persists in all its unadulterated splendor. Afternoon Safari You get into your safari jeep as the afternoon draws near. Sunlight is shrouding the forest. Then it may happen—a lioness could appear through the long grass, her amber eyes briefly meeting yours. A pride of lions, unconcerned, majestic, and immortal, sleeps beneath an acacia not far away. As the safari navigates paths where antelopes gracefully leap and leopards hide, your heart races.
