This is a 2 days tour from Delhi to Jaipur the mesmerizing Pink City in the royal state of Rajasthan. Over the 2 days we will visit magnificent palaces & impregnable forts, appreciate the great collection of art and jewelry of the Maharajas,  indulge in Rajasthani cuisine, meet the local people and experience the culture and heritage of this great land. The itinerary includes Amber fort  the magnificent Palace built with red sandstone and white marble, Hawa Mahal with its unique feature of being perennially flooded with a cool breeze., Nahargarh Fort with majestic views of the Pink CIty, Jal Mahal the lovely Palace floating on a lake and Jantar Mantar the 18th century astronomical observatory.

    Amber Palace

    7 AM- We drive out of Delhi towards Jaipur Noon- Arrive at Amber Fort Amber Fort is a magnificent Palace & Fort build with red sandstone and white marble Palace. It was built by Raja Man Singh I and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh. The formidable walls defended its residents from all corners. The view of Maota Lake from the Fort is fantastic. Intricate wall paintings & frescos made with precious gems and jewels gives us an idea of the opulent lives of the erstwhile Kings of Rajasthan.

    Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind

    We visit the masterpiece built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1798. Hawa Mahal is a five-storied honeycomb! This unique building has 953 small windows, called jharokas, decorated with intricate lattice work. The entire palace represents the crown of Lord Krishna. An interesting aspect of the architecture is that irrespective of the season the Palace is always flooded with a cool breeze.

    Nahargarh or the Abode of Tigers was built by Jai Singh II to tighten the defenses of his city. It was also the safety shelter for the wives of the British Army officers during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. Located on the rocky ridge of Aravalli Hills, one gets a striking view of Jaipur’s pink landscape.

    Jal Mahal

    The day begins for us at arguably the most beautiful site in Jaipur, the Water Palace. This Palace used to be the shooting lodge for the Maharajah. The low rise structure appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. It is a breadth taking sight of light sand coloured stone walls in stark contrast to the deep blue of the waters of the lake.

    Jantar Mantar - Jaipur

    We end our Jaipur tour at the astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1730. Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 architectural astronomical instruments. Jai Singh built this observatory to correct the astronomical tables on planetary positions. The highlight of this palace is “Smarat Yantra”, the world’s biggest stone sundial.
