Next visit Humayun's tomb which is a world heritage site & final resting place of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun. It is the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent. This splendid piece of architecture was commissioned by Humayun's chief consort Empress Bega Begum in the year 1565 and is one of the very few structures that used red sandstone on such a massive scale at that time.
Finally, visit Qutub Minar (a world heritage site) - An 800-year-Old Brick Minaret constructed in 1192 AD. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture & has survived the ravages of time impressively. This great masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens, which is an ideal leisurely place for visitors. Each of the 5 storeys and tower of Qutub Minar has unique designs. Standing mightily as it was before till date.
