Day 1: travel from New Delhi to Agra by car and enjoy some sightseeing during the day. Begin the trip with a pick-up from the airport, railway station or your hotel in Delhi. You will be driven to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal via a 3-hour drive on the expressway. Upon arrival to Agra, meet your tour guide & proceed to the magnificent monument, Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna River. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. After, explore the Agra Fort, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty until 1638 when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. After visiting Agra Fort, you will be driven to Jaipur. On arrival, check into your hotel and stay overnight in Jaipur.
On day 2, After breakfast, proceed to Jaipur{Pink City} Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh - II, Jaipur was the first planned city in India, referred as Pink city for the colour of buildings. The city was painted pink to honour the visit of Prince Albert of England in 1882. Visit Amber Fort -This magnificent fort comprises of an extensive palace complex. Jal Mahal -It is in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. City Palace which includes Chandra Mahal & Mubarak Mahal palaces. It was the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Jantar Mantar -It is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments & features the world's largest stone sundial & is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Hawa Mahal -It is constructed of red and pink sandstone. The palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the zenana, or women's chambers. After your tour, you will be driven back to Delhi & transferred to your Hotel/Airport or Railway station in Delhi with sweet & wonderful memories.
