Please note depending on your start time, and travel date(Forbidden City and Temple of heaven is not open on Monday) these two days itinerary might switch. Once the cruise ship docks in Tianjin International Cruise Port, your private guide will welcome you, assist you with your bags, then begin the 3.5 hour journey to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section.
As you travel, your guide will keep you entertained with fun facts and trivia about the city and its countless sights. As you pass by the local village near the Wall, you will stop at a local restaurant for lunch. Then, set off on a 30 minute journey along the scenic mountains and villages.Your guide will explain the stories and histories of the the Great Wall. Upon arrival, ride in a cable car/ski lift up to the Wall, then follow your tour guide to hike up and down to explore different beacon and watch tower. Since this is a private tour, you can decide how far you want go and when you want to leave. You will descend either by cable car or ski lift, you also can take the fun toboggan down.
Then, heading to the beautiful imperial palace--the Summer Palace.The Summer Palace is the best-kept existing royal garden in Beijing. With a concentration of the best of ancient buildings as well as styles of gardening, it is a virtual museum of traditional Chinese gardening.

Check out of your hotel in the morning, your tour will start from the Temple of heaven. The magnificent and colorful Temple of Heaven was where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would make offerings to heaven and pray for full harvests. Stroll around different courtyards and halls, gain deep insight into the worship ceremony which hold here during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Next, you will explore the Tian'anmen square and Forbidden City area. Listen to the stories about the surrounding buildings and monuments as walking, heading north pass by the Tian'anmen Gate, move on to the Forbidden city.
Built in 1949, Tian'anmen square is a modern creation in a city that did not have places where crowds could gather. Beyond it, lays the Imperial Palace ,also known as the Forbidden city. Over one million treasures were displayed here.
Follow your tour guide to explore most important buildings inside the Forbidden city, such as : The Hall of Great Harmony, Hall of Central Harmony and Hall of Preserving Harmony.
Then heading to the inner court to visit the Hall of Heavenly Purity, Hall of Union and Hall of Earthly Tranquility. Learn the life stories about the Emperor, empress and concubines. You always welcomed to ask questions during the tour.
Pass by Imperial Garden, then you will exit the Forbidden City from the North Gate. Afterwards, you will stop at a local restaurant for a traditional lunch.
Your shore excursion then concludes back at Tianjin International port in time for your cruise departure.The journey back will take approximately 3.5 hours.
