Meet your private guide in your hotel lobby, and heading to the restaurant to enjoy a tasty halal dinner in Xinjiang style at Silk Road Impression restaurant. There are various food selections, such as lamp kabobs, naan bread, chicken, noodle, pilaf (rice mixed with raisin and lamb), Xinjiang yogurt, and etc..
After your wonderful dinner time, your guide will take you explore the beauty of Old Beijing neighborhood. Start from Lotus Lane where you will see many two-story wooden buildings or shikumen architectures, and they are lit up and with colorfully decoration.
Continue walking towards north side of the Houhai lake (the back lake of Shichahai), a popular attraction of Beijing since the early 2000s, and you will also find many interesting shops, restaurants, bars along lakeside.
Then, walk thru Yandai Xie Street (Tobacco Pouch Street), the one of the oldest hutongs in Beijing, and you will learn the history of the street from your guide. You also can shop some souvenirs here if you like.
At the end of the tour, you will choose one of the bar along the Houhai Bar Street to enjoy a glass of local beer. Sit down and appreciate the illuminated night view there. Your guide will share with you some more interesting stories about the people, the culture of this old Beijing neighborhood. After the tour is finished, you can choose to stay longer on your own in Houhai area, or your tour guide will help you to find a taxi at your own cost to your hotel.
