You can plan your arrival to the Santa Marta International Airport at any time on Day 1 of the itinerary and plan your departure from the airport at anytime on Day 8, and we will pick you up. Airport transfer is included on Day 1 and Day 8. If you are arrive early or stay later than the itinerary airport transportation is NOT included.

The adventure begins! In the morning, around 8:00 am, depart Santa Marta and travel approximately 3 hours to El Mamey, the small town where the trailhead for the Lost City begins. Following lunch, enjoy the first sights and sounds of the jungle as you hike through this lush area before arriving to camp that afternoon. Get an early start to your day today. At around 6:00 am, continue your trek through the jungle. Pass by the indigenous town of Mutanshi and marvel at the well-constructed jungle huts that make up the town. From Mutanshi, continue on to Camp 2 where you will have a delicious lunch. Following lunch, continue on to Camp 3 where you will have dinner and camp for the night. Get another early start to your day today. At around 6:00 am, hike to Ciudad Perdida, the ‘Lost City’ of the Sierra Nevadas. Enter the city by climbing its 1,200 stone stairs. You will have approximately 2 hours to explore the ancient ruins with your guide and on your own. In the afternoon, head back down the trail to Camp 2 where you will spend the night. After breakfast, continue your trek out of the jungle. Hike approximately 7-hours, mainly downhill, back to the village of El Mamey where you’ll have lunch. Following lunch, travel approximately 1 hour into the Tayrona National Park. walk a short 5-10 minutes to your lodge located near Cañaveral beach. The rest of your day is yours to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the jungle and Caribbean Sea. Today, head out for an unforgettable day trekking through the breathtaking landscapes of Tayrona National Park, a true gem among Colombia's natural wonders. This renowned national park, famed for its turquoise Caribbean waters, golden sands, and rugged rainforests, presents an unparalleled fusion of beauty and cultural significance. Trek through the jungle along ecological wooden pathways making stops at amazing viewpoints. Cross two beaches before reaching the iconic beach at Cabo San Juan. Here you will be able to relax or take a swim and cool off. After resting up, return to the trailhead and transfer back to your hotel. After breakfast, hike approximately 1.5 hours, along the "Tairona Trail" to the farm of Mamo Reinaldo, an Arhuaco leader. Here you will have the opportunity to engage with the local community and experience an indigenous protection ritual. After a picnic lunch, continue the adventure with a float on tubs down the Don Diego River to where the river meets the ocean. From there, take a motor back up the river, collect your bags at the lodge, and meet your transportation for the approximately 1 hour journey back to your hotel in Santa Marta for the night.
