Perhaps most unique to Mikumi are large buffaloes population. The largest member of the antelope family cuts a striking figure as it grazes on the open fields, and the park's huge array of birdlife (over 400 species) make it a birder's paradise as well.

Pick up from Dar es salaam drive to Mikumi park cross in Morogoro town where yuo will be able to see Uluguru mountains

2Mikumi National Park
Our accredited guide will meet you at pick up point and he will drive you to Mikumi national park via Morogoro. Following breakfast, we leave Dar es salaam for our first stop at Mikumi National Park a 6 hours drive from Dar via Morogoro Refreshments and light snacks will be provided en-route. We will arrive in Mikumi national park at 1:00 pm. This often allows one to see the animals at rest, seeking shelter from the unrelenting heat under the branches of large trees. A leisurely lunch will be served inside the park. The remainder of the day will be spent inside the park. The day concludes with checking into the Park cottages and a brief rest before leaving for an afternoon game drive until sunset We return to the cottages where dinner awaits us at the restaurant between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m.

3Mikumi National Park
An early morning departure from the cottages is strongly advised for a better chance at spotting lions. A departure of 6:30 a.m. is recommended. We’ll be back at the hotel between 8:00 am and 9:00 am for breakfast and afterward, drive for another game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, we will have a rest of 2 hours before going for an evening drive. Like the first day, we will return at cottage where dinner awaits us at the restaurant.
