What to expect
Travel from Marrakech to Toubkal Massif on a full-day trip into the Atlas Mountains. Visit a national park that’s characterized by craggy mountain peaks and deep valleys.
You’ll take in spectacular views of the highest summits in the Atlas mountain chain here as you make your way through the park.
At the small village of Imlil you’ll leave the highway and arrive at the starting point for exploring the Toubkal area.
Enjoy a hike of around 20 minutes in this stunning natural environment, stopping for lunch at a restaurant that faces Mount Toubkal. The massif, standing an impressive 12,700 feet, is the second-highest mountain in Africa, after Kilimanjaro.
