This is the ultimate tour to see Costa Rica and learn to surf on the same day. This 5 hour tour takes you along the coastline exploring the local towns and villages and stunning beaches on the way to your surf lessons at gorgeous Playa Grande. At Playa Grande, we are the only ones at our secluded spot and you will learn to surf with the best instructors in Costa Rica.
There is also an addon option to go spend a 2-3 hours in Tamarindo (extra cost).
Please note a minimum of 2 people are required.
Extra people to join but not surf can be added for extra price.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We pick up at all hotels and homes in Playa del Coco and Papagayo (including Riu, Mangroove, Hard Rock, Secrets, Four Seasons, Andaz and all others). Pick up times vary with tour times. There is a charge for pick up outside of the immediate Playa Grande area. Please send a message to confirm price for pick up.
What to expect
The tour part will explain about the areas and the people and answer all of your questions along with stops for pictures.
Once at Playa Grande, we begin with a 10 minute land lesson before heading out and catching some waves with the top surf school in Costa Rica. We surf for almost 2 hours with an ice water and fresh pineapple break. During the lesson we take between 150 and 250 professional pictures and video of your lesson.
After the lesson we whisk you back to your hotel or house.
