Round trip 2nd class bullet train tickets between Beijing and Xian will be bought by local tour supplier and you will receive an E-ticket with confirmation number. Please show this E-ticket at the booking office in Beijing West Railway Station, redeem round trip paper ticket with your passport. Please arrive at least 30 minute before your train departure time to have enough time for ticket redemption.
In the morning, arrange your way to the railway station and take bullet train G653 (07:46-13:48) from Beijing West Station to Xian North Station. Upon your arrival at Xian station, meet with your tour guide and start your afternoon exploration in Xian. First you will enjoy a hour in Xian Ancient City Wall. This imposing ancient city wall is well worth exploring by either strolling on or cycling around which take about 30 minutes.
Continue to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. With just a little extra pay, you can ascend to the top of the pagoda for a high up view of the city.
At around 4:00PM, you will reach Xian Great Mosque, the largest mosque in local Muslim community. The time-honored structure of the mosque will be of great interest to history and architecture hobbyists.
The Drum Tower is a symbol of the city. Erected in 1380 during the early Ming Dynasty, it stands towering above the city center and offers incredible view of Xi'an.
The Bell Tower of Xi'an, built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty, is a symbol of the city of Xi'an and one of the grandest of its kind in China. The Bell Tower also contains several large bronze-cast bells from the Tang Dynasty.
The finale of the afternoon will be Muslim Quarter nearby. It is more than a window of local Muslim life, but a paradise of halal delicacies and alluring handcrafts. At around 6:00PM, head to your hotel Citadines Central Xi’an (4 star, https://goo.gl/DRU2aG). Have a sound night.
In the morning, check out the hotel and with your guide set out for Banpo Neolithic Village, about three miles away from Xian downtown. This archaeological site exhibits a large amount of artifacts and relics of the Neolithic settlement.
Then you will be on to Terracotta Warriors and Horses, “World’s Eighth Great Wonder”. This massive underground ditch houses numerous life-size terracotta figures of soldiers in Qin Dynasty. This manifestation of ancient kingdom’s authority and funeral arts has explain well why is most sought among all other sites in Xian. Bring home some miniature terracotta soldier figures in the Terra-Cotta Replication Factory.
Late in the afternoon, transfer to Xian North Railway Station. Take bullet train back to Beijing via G90(18:22-22:48).
