View the Great Wall of China on this special sightseeing tour with our unique and exclusive route. You will be taken on a trip back in time, having the chance to explore Beigou village, a small countryside village by the foot of the Great Wall. Completely away from the crowds, this tour takes you to a privileged area that is only known to locals. Hiking through the forest you will be taken to the far peak of the Mutianyu Great Wall section, dodging the noisy and crowded touristic areas. You will be taken personally to the old Wall by our specialized guide, allowing you to see and learn about the most secret and exclusive area of the Wall. From the highest tower, you will descend the Wall to the lowest towers where a pleasant staircase leads you to the bottom giving you the last chance to look back and admire the Wall (or alternatively, take the cable car down the Wall). This tour is suitable for both experienced and amateur hikers of all ages.

Itinerary

Duration: 8 hours (approximately)

    Mutianyu Great Wall

    -7:30 am: Meet your tour guide and group members at the lobby of Beijing Swissotel Hotel before departing to the Great Wall. -9:30 am: Arrive at Mutianyu and proceed to take the hiking trail, climbing the mountain to The Great Wall special section (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). By reaching the Wall you will be taken to walk along it and enjoy this private section. (4 hours) -1:30 pm: Start descending the Great Wall on a gentle trail (or alternatively, you can take the cable car or the toboggan to descend the Wall – our guide will help you with the process). Then, enjoy a delicious lunch at the base of the Great Wall. -2:30 pm: Our guide will take you back to central Beijing. -4:30 pm: Return to the meeting point and tour is over.
