The village of Elterwater situated at the foot of the Great and Little Langdale valleys and close to the Lake of the same name offers magnificent views of the rugged Langdale Pikes.
Lying on the ancient boundary with Lancashire, Skelwith Bridge is a small village in the southern area of the Lake District.
