A wide ranging private, tailor-made tour of the best landscape and culture the far north of Argentina has to offer.
We’ll explore the multi-colored Quebrada de Humahuaca, famous for its Seven Colored Hill and rich in history from Pre-Inca to colonial times.
The intrepid among you may also want to brave the high altitude 14 Coloured Hill of Hornocal, at 14,248 ft (4,344m) above sea level.
We will stroll around the historic town of Humahuaca, much more indigenous in feel than cosmopolitan Salta, and also visit Jujuy's capital city, San Salvador.
Then we’ll cross the outer mountain range of the Andes into the Altiplano and the wide open plains of the Salinas Grandes salt flats, with their stunning view of the mountains.

Pick up at your hotel in Salta. Then, as we head North, we get a taste of verdant sub-tropical greenery as we travel up the old mountain road linking Salta with San Salvador de Jujuy.

This indigenous town has an excellent and colorful local food market and local craftsmen and women market clothes and tapestries woven from lamb and llama wool. This is also an excellent spot for a typical Andean lunch featuring llama meat, quinoa, and sweetcorn.

8Serranias Del Hornocal
we head up an unmade track out of town, climbing to 4,400m altitude, our highest of the trip, to see the 14 Coloured Hill of Hornocal, a wondrous natural formation of ancient rock from the era of the dinosaurs.

9The Hill of Seven Colors
We'll climb to a vantage point away from the crowds to marvel at the Seven Coloured hill of Purmamarca in the best morning light before strolling round the artesans' market.
