One day before our guide will confirm with you the location of your hotel or any accommodation in Baku. You will visit Guba and the remote mountain village of Khinalig on this group tour from Baku. Introducing you to the surreal landscapes of the Khizi region in northeastern Azerbaijan, the tour starts with a drive through the Five Finger "Beshbarmag Dag" mountain. On the way to Guba,you will have a chance to visit the unique settlement of Jews in mountains, "Caucasian Jerusalem" - the Red Town then pass through Qechresh forest. The final destination Khinalig village among the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, with a history spanning over 5,000 years so you will visit Europe's Highest village Khinalig and will taste traditional foods at local's house.

The tour starts at 9 a.m. in front of the Double Gates of Old City Baku (Gosha Gala Gapisi). We are also picking up the guests from the Hotel or accommodation in Baku. We'll send You the pickup (meeting) time one day before the tour date via WhatsApp or email. Usually, the pickup from your accommodation is around 30 minutes before the departure.

    We pick up from central hotels in Baku exept Hotels that aresituated in the Old City and near by. That guests are coming to the Double Gates - main gates of the Old City (Qosha Qala qapisi)

    Besh Barmag Mountain

    Driving along the M1 motorway connecting the capital of Azerbaijan with the largest cities of Russia, you will see the mountain Beshbarmak, located near the coast of the Caspian Sea. Beshbarmak is a place of pilgrimage for the local population and thanks to its height and shape has been an excellent reference point for sailors since ancient times. The holy place “Pir Hydyr Zundzha” is located at the foot of the Beshbarmag Mountain, where the travelers stop to perform prayers and worship. Your professional guide will tell you the mythical stories associated with this place.

    The Guba carpet weaving school. There are carpet shops all over Baku, but you’ll have to travel out of the city to see carpet weaving done the old-fashioned way. Qadim Quba in the little city of Quba north of Baku is one of the most popular and accessible carpet-making workshops you can visit.

    The second destination will be Guba city, which is located in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Azerbaijan. On the way to Guba, our guests will visit the unique settlement of Jews in mountains, "Caucasian Jerusalem" - the Red Town. The village has 13 synagogues, among which two are operational. There are about 4-5 thousand Jews live in Qirmizi Qesebe that is symbol of pluralism in Azerbaijan and symbol of peace and harmony among the different religions.

    State Historical, Architectural and Ethnographic Reserve Khinalig

    Isolated from the Wolrd, Khinalug village Khinalug, a charming, picturesque village nestled in the mountains some 40 miles (65 km) from Quba and included into UNESCO's List of World Heritage is often called the museum under the open sky. We'll travel through the beautiful natural landscape, reaching a height of over 7,500 feet (2,300 m), where the town is found. Here, you'll have time to explore its streets and witness the customs and traditions of its residents And on the way to Khinalig, you can often see eagles flying overhead, wild horses galloping along the banks of stony rivers and clouds descending so low that sometimes they can even be touched.... did you know they even have their own language here? And your lunch will be Azerbaijan traditional local foods at local people's home.
