Take a stroll around the flamboyant shophouses and townhouses to appreciate the architecture that characterized early Singapore. Coffee is the most commonly consumed beverage among locals and with over ten different types of coffee to choose from, learn how to order your coffee like a local. A traditional local breakfast consists of bread and coffee, which is heavily influenced by Western culture. No visit to Singapore would be complete without visiting the hawker centre and wet market, where locals buy fresh meat and produce. Join them and savor the local cuisine at the hawker centre.

    Stop by beautiful shophouses and townhouses that were the prevailing form of housing in Singapore's town centre in the early years. Uncover the ideas that go behind the architecture design of these buildings and how they provided a living for people then. Proceed to visit a traditional coffee roaster. Coffee is a daily beverage for most local. Trace the story behind Singapore's coffee culture and how Singapore coffee differs from western coffee. Continue on to a traditional bakery and discover how the bread, together with coffee created a traditional breakfast combination that owe much to Western influence, but with a twist. End at the hawker centre and wet market where locals go to have meals and buy fresh produce/ meat. Over here, one will be able to immerse in the sight, sound and smell at the wet market and be amazed by the variety of affordable local cooked food at the hawker centre. We will try some food or snacks here.
