Walking city Tour in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate, Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea. Glenloch Tea Factory, Katukitula - The factory had humble beginnings, but over time it has put Sri Lanka on the map as the fourth-largest producer of tea in the world. One of its founders was Sir Thomas Lipton, a name widely recognized on tea boxes, who purchased a tea estate and factory in the late 19th century. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and temperate climate, which offers excellent conditions for growing quality tea leaves. Take a 15-20 minute guided tour to learn how a leaf becomes a beverage;
Temple of the Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or Temple of the Tooth Relic, is the holiest Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. It is located in the city of Kandy, the ancient capital of the Kandyan kingdom. The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists.
Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens – Located just a few minutes from the hill Capital of Kandy, is the place for lovers of fauna, flora and nature. The stunningly landscaped gardens, the large variety of plants and the Orchid House; the best known attraction of the garden featuring over 300 varieties of beautiful orchids make it a much loved Sri Lankan attraction. The great circle and Memorial trees - The great circle is a grassy central area of nearly 4 acres in extent. Around the circle is a diverse array of trees planted by dignitarpies, who had visited the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Afterwards travel back to starting point (Bentota/Kalutara/Wadduwa/Mount Lavinia/Colombo/Negombo)
