Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our team will greet you with a warm welcome and arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Following your check-in, we will introduce you to your guide, who will be your companion throughout your journey, and provide you with a brief overview of the exciting adventures that await you. Following this, you'll have the freedom to either explore the local surroundings or simply relax, ensuring that your journey begins in a truly relaxed and enjoyable manner.
After breakfast, at around 9am, our guide and driver will pick you from your hotel and you will go for the sightseeing of famous UNESCO world heritage sites around the valley. Swyambhunath, also named as the monkey temple because it is surrounded by the monkeys all over the area. Famous for people following both Hinduism and Buddhism, this temple not only provides the cultural and religious aspects but also offers various arts, architecture and the magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley from the western side of its hillock. Swyambhunath Stupa is imprinted by the eye of Lord Buddha, which stands for peace and knowledge.
The world famous Hindu temple Pashupatinath is regarded as one of the holiest and oldest Hindu temple in the world. This temple is located 5km east from the city center at the bank of holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath area is widely decorated by various ornaments dedicated to Lord Shiva. As followed by the Hindu Culture, the cremation of the dead is done in Pashupatinath area by the side of the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
Bouddhanath is the oldest and the largest stupa in the valley, which was built during the Licchhavi dynasty in the 5th century around 2500 years ago. Its old name is ‘Khasa’ but later it was changed to Bouddhanath by the government. You will find many Buddhist pilgrims and monks from Tibet and various places going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.
Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of the Lalitpur city. The main attraction of Patan Durbar Square is the ancient royal Palace, where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. There are many temples and idols in this area. You can also explore the Newari lifestyle, food, and culture in the square and visit museums that contain many ancient items that have a lot of historical significance.
After breakfast, you drive to Bhaktapur for sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square and then drive to Namobuddha. Namobuddha is famous Buddhist pilgrimage site located 40 km southeast of Kathmandu valley in Kavre district. Overnight in your hotel at Namobuddha.
Rise and shine! Today, an early start requires in order witnessing the magical sunrise from the hilltop of Nagarkot, if you wish, else we can drive quite late. Nagarkot not only grants you a front-row seat to this celestial performance but also invites you to delve into the local culture. So, whether you're a nature enthusiast, a lover of serene landscapes, or simply seeking a peaceful escape, Nagarkot promises a memory that will forever nestle in your heart. Its pristine beauty and the majestic embrace of the mountains leave an indelible mark on your soul.
Following our sunrise adventure, we'll embark on a short but rewarding hike from Telkot to the historic Changunarayan Temple. However, if hiking isn't your cup of tea, worry not; we have a vehicle on standby to transport you comfortably to the temple. Hiking Starting Point: Telkot Our journey begins in Telkot, a charming village in Bhaktapur, known for its serenity and lush surroundings, Telkot provides a perfect launchpad for our adventure. As we set forward on our trek, a picturesque trail unfolds before us. Winding through terraced fields, idyllic villages, and verdant forests, the path is well-marked, catering to hikers of all levels. Panoramic Views: Throughout the hike, sweeping vistas of the Kathmandu Valley and the surrounding hills will greet us. On clear days, the distant Himalayan peaks may reveal themselves, a sight to behold. Duration: The hike typically takes 2-3 hours, depending on your own pace and engagement on photos and videos.
Changunarayan Temple: Where History Resides Our journey culminates at Changunarayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that whispers tales of Nepal's ancient history. This living testament to centuries of devotion and craftsmanship stands tall as a symbol of resilience against the passage of time. Explore its intricately carved stone walls and time-worn pagodas, and you'll journey back to an era when art and spirituality thrived. At Changunarayan, the past seamlessly melds with the present, evoking a profound appreciation for the legacy it represents. We will then return to the hotel, where you can relax in comfort, reflecting on the day's incredible adventures and cultural discoveries.
After your breakfast in the early morning, we drive to the entrance of Shivapuri National Park and your hike to Shivapuri Hill begins. Shivapuri hill top / peak is situated at 2732 meters height from the sea level, the trail goes ascending up surrounded by lush forests and offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. After reaching at the peak we take packed lunch at a scenic spot and return back to the hotel in the afternoon.
On this final day of our journey together, we bid you farewell with a warm heart. After breakfast, or as per your departure schedule, we'll arrange for your transfer to the airport. We part ways with heartfelt thanks and fond memories of our adventure together, leaving you with the promise of future exploration in this remarkable land. Safe travels until we meet again!
