Stonetown is a UNCESCO world heritage site since 2000. It was the main center of the slave trading around the Indian ocean, you can see many important spots of the abominable past of this time. The city is full of historical importance in East Africa. Stonetowns architecture, reflects the various influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements. Immerse yourself in all the wonderful smells, colors and spectacle that you can only find here through the mix of the different cultures. In our guided Tour we will see and explain all important places of the history, the House of Wonders, Forodhani Garden, Slave Trade Museum / Anglican Church, the Hindu Temple, Catholic Church, Darajani Market, Jaws Corner and much more. Loose yourself in the narrow streets, look at the carved doors which tell stories, venture into the rush of the market and feel the spirit of Zanzibar.

The Forodhani Garden is a small park of the historical city of Stonetown. The place is located along the main seawalk of Stonetown, just in front of the most famous buildings of the old city, the House of Wonders and the Old Fort. This place is very famous for locals and tourist to meet and chill, it becomes also very busy during the evening as a night food market.
