Mnemba Atoll is the most famous Conservation area in Zanzibar. It consists of a seven by four kilometers reef, containing the small Mnemba Island. Mnemba is famous for encounters with Green Turtles and Common Dolphins. For some reason Mnemba Dolphins really like the boats and come often to swim right next to the boats and also allowing to jump into the water and snorkel with them On our way back, we slow down to pass close to the beautiful Mnemba Island, so you can take some great photos.

What to expect

After we take our Flippers we start our way to the Mnemba Atoll on a traditional Zanzibari Dhow Boat. Depending on the tides we need 1,5 or 2 hours to the Conservation Area of the privat Island Mnemba. Once we arrived there we will jump into the crystal clear water and make our way to the beautiful coral reefs and search for the large variety of different types of fish. Sting rays, Lion fish, Frog fish, Leaf fish and Zebra fish are just five of the over 350 different species that has been recorded around Mnemba Island. After we finished our Snorkeling experience, the crew will serve us the our delicious Lunch (Chapati, Fish, Rice, Sauce and Fruits) on the Boat and we will head our way back to our departure point.
