Discover the Big Five a short 2-hour drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria in South Africa’s 4th largest National Park, the Pilanesberg National Park.
Covering an area of 58,000 hectares, the Pilanesberg sports a unique topography, rings of geologically fascinating alkaline hills that were produced by volcanic activity 1.2 billion years ago. In addition to healthy populations of lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and both black and white rhino, there are many endemic species that call the park home. Spot brown hyena, cheetah, sable, giraffe, springbok, zebra, hippo and crocodile to name but a few. The park is also a bird-watchers haven with over 360 recorded species.

Stephenson Adventures branded vehicle and a tour guide wearing branded uniform. If you are staying in hotel or guest house we will meet you at the reception area of your hotel. If you are staying in a private residential the tour guide will meet you at the main gate of your property.

Quick, Yet Immersive Safari Experience Pick-up and Transfer: Depart from your accommodation in the morning for a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside as you head toward this unique wildlife experience Quick stop on the way, for toilets, stretching, quick bite or coffee. Morning Game Drive: Upon arrival, switch from your closed vehicle to an open safari and head straight into the park for a thrilling morning game drive to catch the animals at their most active. Enjoy your full day safari drive in this big five game reserve Variety of flora and fauna Unique geology Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch, with breathtaking views of the park. Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, embark on another game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife as the park becomes quieter in the afternoon. Return Transfer: In the late afternoon, head back to your accommodation, filled with unforgettable safari memories.
