Two Moldova essentials in one day: capital city attractions and Cricova tasting
Story-rich guide (simplified history, tasty culture)
Comfortable transfers and scheduled entry – no logistical stress
We will pick you up at the arrival hall. The driver will be waiting for you with a sign with the lead travelers name.
Stroll through the capital. Taste the legend. Start right in the heart of Chisinau, where leafy boulevards meet grand Soviet-era squares and Belle Époque facades. With your local guide, you’ll traverse Cathedral Park, stop under the Arc de Triomphe, and hear how a city built on seven hills reinvented itself from a commercial city to a modern capital. Pass by the Presidential Palace and the Opera and Ballet Theater, peek into a bustling farmers’ market, and collect the little stories customs, humor, everyday life that make Moldova feel disarmingly welcoming.
Lunch between the walking tour and the transfer to Cricova Winery is optional depending on your schedule and your wishes. Then, we’ll go underground literally. A short drive brings us to Cricova, the country’s most iconic “wine town,” a vast network of limestone galleries stretching over 120km. Board the electric train and glide through cool tunnels lined with thousands of bottles as your guide reveals how sparkling wines are made and why Cricova has become a national favorite. Your visit concludes with a guided tasting (selection of local varieties; upgrades available) in one of the atmospheric rock-hewn rooms.
