Take the chance to explore the most representative attractions of Kefalonia. We will make our first stop at the Monastery of Saint Gerasimos, the patron saint of Kefalonia. Next there is the Robola Winery who export the famous Robola wine worldwide. Travel to Drogarati cave and observe the amazing stalactites and stalagmites that give this place the feel of cathedral. We will also visit Sami, a beautiful coastal town. Next we will explore the cave of the nymphs the famous Melissani Lake. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the turquoise waters as the sun shines into the cave. Coming up is Karavomilos Lake, is one of Kefalonia’s most charming spots. On our way we will head to the tranquil and colorful village of Agia Effimia and a stop over the dazzling Myrtos beach to take photos. Next stop lies the tiny yet enhancing village of Assos, a hidden, artistically beautiful place. Last but not least, we will visit the cosmopolitan village of Fiscardo that will be the highlight to end our tour.

The Monastery of Agios Gerasimos in Kefalonia is considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage places of the island, receiving a great number of visitors yearly. The Saint had also planted three plane trees, which are still preserved at the monastery, as are three wells that he is said to have dug with his hands. Visitors can also see his hermitage, accessible from inside the church. It consists of two underground rooms that can be reached by a narrow path and a staircase.

The Cephalonia Robola Wine Cooperative (established in 1982) collects and processes almost 85% of the total produce of Robola wine grapes. The island of Cephalonia is the most mountainous Ionian island and without any doubt, it hosts some of the most important vineyards in Greece. The mountainous morphology, the sunshine, the altitude, the variety of the mesoclimates and the marine aura favour viniculture, which is characterized by low yield per stremma and high quality.

The Drogarati Cave in Kefalonia was discovered 300 years ago and opened to the public in 1963. It was discovered when a strong earthquake caused a collapse that revealed the cave's entrance. Drogarati is an impressive cave with remarkable formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Speleologists state that this cave is about 150 million years old and constitutes a rare geological phenomenon. The cave is about 60m deep and has a constant temperature of 18ΊC. The humidity of the cave reaches 90%.

Sami is a beautiful coastal town with a population of 1000 inhabitants, most of whom are engaged in agriculture and fishing. Sami hosts one of the island's main ports, receiving ferries from Patra, Astakos, Ithaca and Italy. It is built close to ancient Sami, one of the most important archeological discoveries in Kefalonia. Sami is a perfect destination for your summer holidays in Greece. Fiscardo Village is located 49.5 km north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. Lapped in hills carpeted with cypresses and olive trees, this quaint fishing village is so beautiful that it was added to Project Natura 2000 for its protection.
