Located between Cambodian and Thai border, Preah Vihear is a marvelous temple on the top of 525 meters cliff. The stunning temple was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 7, 2008. This Hindu mountain temple is represented as the Mount Meru, home of God. From the top of the mountain, we can see surrounded forest, rice fields and villages.

Drive takes about 3 hours and half, passing through Cambodian countryside, small towns, and farmland. Preah Vihear temple is located on the Cambodian-Thai border. It sits on top of a 525-meter cliff in the heart of the Dangrek Mountain. There has been a dispute in recent years over the ownership of the temple, however it was recently ruled by the International Court of Justice that it belongs to Cambodia. It’s a stunning temple and was a favorite of the Khmer Kings as it was frequently upgraded and added to. It’s now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The way to the temple is very steep the view is out of this world when you get to the top.
