    Sri Ramakrishna Math

    According to Swami Vivekananda, the temples of Sri Ramakrishna should be built for enabling the devotees to advance spiritually for realizing the truth with no hatred towards other faiths. Various architectural elements and motifs found in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples and the churches and cathedrals of Europe are synthesized in this Universal Temple. This place is apt for doing Meditation, learning different types of spiritual practices such as Bakthi (Devotion), Yoga (Postures and Meditation), Karma (Dutiful) and Gnana (Enlightenment).

    Kapaleeshwarar Temple

    The Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Mylapore, Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The form of Shiva's consort Parvati worshipped at this temple is called Karpagambal (goddess of the wish-yielding tree). The temple was built around the 7th century CE and is an example of Dravidian architecture. We will visit this temple to understand the Saivite tradition of worshipping.
