The Christmas period in Split is an experience on its own. Split is a Mediterranean city, and the main Christmas avenue is the seaside Riva Promenade, the center of the main events in December. The eternally historical Diocletian's Palace is especially perfect during Christmas time. All the streets and alleys around the palace are traditionally decorated. You can find the Christmas market beside the square.
