This region has long captivated filmmakers, serving as the backdrop for Hollywood productions such as The Last Temptation of Christ, The Jewel of the Nile, and Hideous Kinky. It remains one of Morocco’s most atmospheric and romantic landscapes, with lush river valleys, palm groves, and glowing mud-brick villages shining under the wide, blue desert sky
Next, visit the nearby Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, an 11th-century UNESCO World Heritage site that once served as a vital stop along the trans-Saharan trade route.
