Arslanbob is a unique creation of nature, a blooming oasis at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level and one of the most beautiful resorts located in the south of Kyrgyzstan. Here are the largest walnut-fruit forests on our planet. The subject of special pride of these mountain forests is the walnut tree, which can live up to 1000 years, reach enormous sizes (height up to 30 m with a trunk diameter up to 2 m) and bear fruit abundantly. In rocky gorges at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level, mountain rivers swiftly carry their white foamy waters. Sometimes they fall far down, creating fabulous waterfalls.
Sary Chelek Reserve was founded in 1959 to protect and research the pristine natural environment. Ridges with snow capped peaks and lowland steppes; rapid rivers and mountain lakes; blossoming valleys and alpine meadows with their varied flora and fauna.
