    The original usage was unstable. But it is definitely a monastery for the Ottoman era. There are great exhibits. (in English and Turkish) about the life and times of the poet and spiritual leader of Sufi Rumi and you can see the rooms. Can be used by performers and performances involving traditional instruments.

    Tekeli Mehmet Paşa Camii was built by Beylerbey (Governor) Tekeli Mehmet Paşa. The building underwent major renovations in 1886 and 1926. Note the beautiful Arabic inscriptions on the colored tiles above the windows and along the base.
