At that moment you decide: 1) if you are staying for lunch and taking the Cable Car* OR 2) if you want to return to the hotel OR 3) if you want to continue to another point of your choice. *If you choose to take the Pão de Açúcar cable car (185 reais per person), consider 2 to 3 hours, thus enjoying 3 different moments: the afternoon, sunset and night. The region is very safe and well policed, with a large number of taxis/Uber, just 10 minutes from Copacabana.
