It was constructed with carved stones and has an octagonal form in the early 19th century. The caps and bases of the columns are built of stone, and they are topped with capitals that have plant decorations on them. The previous monarch of Tirana was imprisoned here in the nineteenth century but was eventually returned to Istanbul, Turkey. It was next to the Suleyman Pasha Tomb, not to be mistaken with the Sylejman Pasha Mosque, which was demolished during World War II. The Municipality of Tirana just completed the restoration.
