Nagarjun Day hike is the best and wonderful natural hiking experience near Kathmandu to anyone with limited time period. Nagarjun is about 5km North of Thamel which is the only place in Kathmandu covered by thick forest. Rich in biodiversity, this park has rare Black Panther, wild boar, common leopard, and many more common monkeys with over 300 species of birds and numerous fauna. You can explore the magnificent mountain ranges of Mount Everest, Gaurishanker Ganesh himal and Langtang and spectacular view of Kathmandu valley.

1Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park
This day Hike to Nagarjung trail lies to the Shivapuri National park. Nagarjun is about 5km North of Thamel and is covered by thick forest. After hiking for 3.5 hours you will reach to the top hill(2730m) which is also a home for former king of Nepal. You can explore magnificent view of mountain ranges like Mount Everest, Gaurishanker and Langtang and spectacular view of Kathmandu valley and many high hills and natural surroundings.
