NEROKOUROU TO MALAXA path

We are going to hike from Nerokourou hight up to Malaxa and back on a round trip.Nerokourou is a village existing there since the Othoman occupation.The fist we meet steping on the old path is ruins of an abondone stone house that its surrounded also by a stone big wall.Moving in a valley, after, we be ourselves on a spring with fresh watter wich is also been in a goergus stone building where the locals came every day to take watter.Continiu we hike up on the path passing from a very small stone brige and after a while from a second.The path now becomes challenging, quite stipy untill the church of Agia Marina.We will have a rest there to admire the view to Souda woulf and Chania.Continiuing up we will be at the top where we found ruins of the old national road.We step on the road for 20 min and we will be at Malaxa.Malaxa is a very old village existing there sice Venetian occupation.Old stone houses mixed with new in a contrast of White Mountains and the woolf.After Malaxa we hike downhill to Nerokourou different way getting touch with cretan nature, herbs, wild goats and other spices.A little before reaching the valley again we visit a small church on a cave and finally returne .
