Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) has over 350 bird species and the river is the place where they congregate in great numbers and are easily seen in the open environment, Mikumi National Park is also the best experience. Early in the morning at 04:30 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and driven to Mikumi National Park. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 7 hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas of Tanzania. After arriving, you'll check in before driving for an evening game drive inside the park. Animals commonly found here include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, hippos and elephants. Accommodation inside the park will give you a chance to explore animal behaviors at the night.
Before breakfast at 06:00 AM start an amazing morning game drive, the best time when most killings happen. Have time for breakfast at 08:30 AM then proceed with a game drive across the great Mikumi National Park which is home to a large population of elephants, a big number of buffalos and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus and crocodiles. After a game drive, get back to Camp Bastian. Enjoy the best moments in Camp Bastian swimming pool then stay for dinner and your overnight stay.
Before breakfast, do a Maasai tour. You will learn more about the polygamy style of the Maasai, Maasai traditions and customs, and how to make fire using sticks. Head back to Bastian Camp and proceed with game viewing en route to Nyerere National Park. On the way, you will be enjoying the life of different cultures of some tribes in Tanzania. All meals will be at your accommodation in Selous Game Reserve.
Have breakfast in your accommodation followed by a full-day game drive in the park. Nyerere National Park is home to a large population of elephants, a big number of buffalos and wild dogs. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, kudus and crocodiles. In the mid-afternoon, embark on a boat safari across the great Rufiji River where you'll find hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Selous Safari Lodge.
Before breakfast, you will have a walking safari with a bushman. He will explain to you about different animals and plants found around the great Nyerere National Park. After breakfast, you'll drive to Dar es Salaam for further schedules as per your plans. End of our tour.
