    The tower and the nave date from the 13th century and the choir is from the following century. This church is classified as exceptional real estate heritage of Wallonia.

    Construction of the church began in 1440. Visiting this church, you will discover a nave and two aisles, a strongly projecting transept with blind transverse walls, a chancel with a heptagonal apse, two sacristies that were added later on and an originally Romanesque tower.

    The only cathedral in Belgium to be listed on the UNESCO World Heritage. The nave and the transept built in the 12th century are in the Romanesque style and the choir was completed in 1254, is in the Gothic style. (Outside visit)

    In 1839, the museum was moved into a gallery and a square room designed by the architect Bruno Renard at its current location. Visiting this museum, you will discover the first elephant that arrived in Belgium in 1839, which has become a treasure recognized by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Also witness a large collection of taxidermy, an exposition on amphibians, collection of stones and crystals, reptiles and insects.
