Come with us to visit Hiroshima during one day by Shinkansen, by public transport, and then on foot!
We will start from Osaka or Kyoto to visit the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial. You will have moving sites, and you will be able to reflect deeply on the consequences of the Second World War. This will strengthen our commitment to peace.
We will then depart for Miyajima Island, famous for its Shinto Itsukushima Shrine and for its iconic torii gate on the sea. Let’s feel together the calm and serenity of the place, with its free-ranging Shika deer and abundant surrounding nature.

The Genbaku Dome is a poignant testimony to the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. This building is still partially standing. We pass by and can reflect there.

We take the ferry to Itsukushima island. We can admire all the surroundings on the Seto Inland Sea.

Miyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine are famous throughout the world especially for their gate, the large torii positioned on the sea. We visit this shrine and learn more about the history and religion of Japan.

We walk to the torii of the shrine if it is low tide. We can admire from the shore if it is high tide.
