What to expect

A tasting of 3 Italian wines of different “body, weight or structure”! What does this mean?
Body, weight and structure are synonymous terms in wine jargon. The structure or body of a wine is one of the criteria that is evaluated during a tasting.

How do you understand the weight of a wine?
During the multisensory tasting, we will discover the tricks to distinguish a light-bodied wine from a full-bodied one. Using only our eyes, we can perceive the first signs of its body by swirling the glass to feel its “resistance”... Then we move on to the olfactory and gustatory examination to arrive at a complete judgment.

We will taste 3 red wines from North to South, of different body and power, to give you an idea of some: Alto Adige (Lagrein, Schiava), Piedmont (Barbera, Barolo), Lombardy (Pinot Noir), Tuscany (Sangiovese), Emilia Romagna (Lambrusco), Lazio (Cesanese del Piglio), Campania (Aglianico), Umbria (Sagrantino), Abruzzo (Montepulciano), Puglia (Negramaro, Primitivo), Sicily (Nero D'Avola, Nerello Mascalese).

A fun and informative tasting to learn about some of Italy's red treasures and deepen your wine knowledge at the same time
