What to expect

The Annapurna Region lies in western Nepal where most of the popular trekking routes are located. This region is the biggest rival for the Everest Region as it is also considered as one of the best treks in the world. Over 100,000 trekkers come to the Annapurna Region every year. It is because of the view and the easiness of the trekkers that the trail to reach get to this region. A pleasant 7-8 hour drive from Kathmandu takes you to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city perfect for adventure tourism in Nepal.

As suggested, the name of this region, Annapurna Region, comes from Mt. Annapurna. It is the centrepiece in which all treks of this region revolve. Reaching the height of 8,019m / 26,545ft, and soaring high above the clouds, it is the 10th highest peak in the world
