  Susantha Spice and herbal garden is a tourist-based ayurvedic company founded more than 3 decades ago. We pride ourselves on being the best, offering the highest quality service and products to clients. Clients are treated to warm local hospitality and shown around the garden through a small walk with one of your local guides, who are experts in the local Ayurvedic lore. Customers are welcomed with a hot spiced tea. They are then explained about the various medicinal benefits derived from the vast array of herbs & trees in the garden.   Dawson Tower is located on Kadugannawa in the Kadugannawa Pass next to the Colombo - Kandy Road, the first modern highway on the island. Work began on the Colombo-Kandy Road in 1820 under the direction of Captain William Francis Dawson, who died during the project. The Dawson Tower was erected in memory of Dawson.

  National Railway Museum

  The National Railway Museum of Sri Lanka is located in Kadugannawa, west of Kandy. The museum is owned by Sri Lanka Railways. The museum was opened on 27 December 2014 in order to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the railways in Sri Lanka. Previously, the museum was located in Colombo; 2 the old museum was opened in May 2009.[3] The museum has old engines, locomotives, rail cars, trolleys, carriages, machinery, and equipment that have been used since the beginning of the Sri Lanka Railway.

  Royal Botanical Gardens

  Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. In 2016, the garden was visited by 1.2 million locals and 400,000 foreign visitors.[1] It is near the Mahaweli River (the longest river in Sri Lanka).[2] It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees.[3] Attached to it is the "National Herbarium of Sri Lanka". The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Department of National Botanic Gardens.

  The expansive space also includes a theatre which screens an informative film on the history and the arduous mining process of gems in Sri Lanka. There is also a replica mineshaft, which is a great attraction to the tourists as they get to see firsthand what a gem mine looks like. Additionally, there is also an interactive workshop where guests are encouraged to walk through the workshop and see the process of making jewelry. Thepiècee de résistance is, however, the gem and jewelry showroom which is situated on the first floor of the building. With a keen eye for detail, the one-of-a-kind jewelry is crafted to international standards and designed to mesmerize.
