The tour begins in the heart of Frankfurt in front of the Tourist Information Römer, which is located in the Römer, the Frankfurt City Hall. The Römerberg is the center of Frankfurt's old town.
During the tour you will discover Frankfurt's new old town, which opened in 2018.
On the city tour you will also see the Imperial Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, which towers over the old town of Frankfurt.
It runs from the Domplatz at the Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus via the Hühnermarkt to the Römerberg. So the emperors moved to the Römerberg after their coronation in the cathedral.
See the former patrician villa "Römer" with its three-gable roof. Since 1405 it served as the town hall of the city of Frankfurt. To this day it is the seat of the mayor of the city.
Here the National Assembly created the first democratic constitution for Germany.
The Eiserne Steg is one of the most popular photo spots in Frankfurt with a view of the Frankfurt skyline. The pedestrian bridge made of steel and concrete, which is crossed by around 10,000 people every day, connects the city center around the Römerberg with Sachsenhausen on the other side of the Main.
